Tuesday, February 28, 2023: Today I pulled the King of Pentacles. I spent a good amount of time focusing on my creative pursuits. I have been a photographer all my adult life. I love the vision of photography and the ability to capture a moment in time and look at it deeply. My life and the moments with those I love are kept alive and captured and beautiful scenes are able to be brought back in the time machines we call cameras. Sunday, February 26, 2023: Today’s card is the Seven of Swords. This is a card of subterfuge. This gal is stepping out. The fact is people cheat. Almost nobody drives the speed limit. People take extra long breaks at work, lie to their doctors and their partners. Even when the penalty for cheating is being stoned to death, people cheat on their relationships. The Fool goes through a lot by the time they make it to The World. It's the cycle of life, all things have a beginning, a middle and an end. As a card of rebirth it's also a card of letting go. The Tower may have imprisoned us, but it was also familiar, perhaps even comfortable. I am invoking the Queen of Cups. This queen is a representative of real world nurturing, some even say it's The Goddess in human form. This Queen can represent a caring and nurturing person and can also represent self nurturing and self care. Being in the element of Earth it can be seen as material success. It’s an easy card to get comfortable in. But, it must always be remembered, wheels turn. I am invoking the Wheel card from the Major Arcana. This is a card that tells the story of impermanence. Enjoy the here and now, cherish it more, knowing that everything has a beginning, a middle and an ending. Monday, February 13, 2023: Today I pulled The Lovers. This is a card of love and passion, yes! But, it is also a card of choice, to be in a relationship (of any kind) or not and how much of ourselves to give to the other(s). In the case of a romantic relationship, do we give our heart and/or our body? This depends on knowledge in my opinion. Even in loving platonic relationships — how do we love? How do they? Who are we? Who are they? What is your tolerance of change? Gender, sexual and relationship orientations can be a huge factor for all involved. I’m invoking the 8 of Cups. It's Strength manifested in the realm of love and circulation. It’s a card of love, alignment and clarity for me. This card says sometimes we stay and sometimes leaving is the most loving way. It’s not an accident that countries draft young people into their militaries. These Knights are typically brave (and sometimes foolish) and willing to take risks for whatever cause they are fighting for. When you are at cause these are good attributes.
