That’s what I reaffirmed these last two plus weeks. I’m able to take care of myself and indeed to thrive on my own. Saturday, August 5, 2023: The Eight of Pentacles is a card appropriate for a work in progress. It’s a card of application, determination and skill. In the presence of a reliable relationship it’s an indication that the hard work put into the relationship is worth it. It may seem like an odd card to pull on this day when my eldest brother died. Perhaps not, given the complicated link of him to the past. The past led to the present. Time to honor the journey and remember that it was an important step that made the present possible.
