Choices

Saturday, April 20, 2024: Today I pulled the Two of Swords. I often call this the shit- or-get-off-the-pot card. Life is a series of decisions. I see all the twos as reflecting the decision making process. Decisions can turn out bad or good. This two for me is about the nature of hard decisions, making them or not making them, which is a decision too. Often it comes down to stay or go. Generally we don’t get to see the consequences of unchosen paths. We just need to make decisions and trust the universe. I’m invoking the High Priestess.

Saturday, January 28, 2023: On this day I pulled the High Priestess (HP). The HP is the third card in the Major Arcana and the second card The Fool encounters. First, the Magician tells the Fool that there is a magical force and that when you set an intention above it has effect on the physical plane below. The HP comes next telling the Fool there is a way for you, a path yours alone to aspire too. The HP does not tell the Fool what lay ahead. It is the Fool's journey to take. I am invoking the Three of Wands from the Shadowscapes Tarot. This particular expression of the Three of Wands speaks deeply to me of the need to follow a path in life secure in the knowledge that what you need, and need to know, will be right there when you need it.
