Grief


Thursday, December 7, 2023: Today I pulled the Five of Cups. The message of this card for me is impermanence. Everything has a beginning, a middle and an end. We lose pets, people and ultimately ourselves. Along the journey we lose relationships, our youth, health we can take for granted, our memories and many, many other precious things. It is the nature of impermanence. It is grief.

Sunday, April 20, 2025: Today I pulled the Hermit. For me this is a card of inward reflection. The important thing is look at yourself and reflect on who you are now. This is not who the world expects you to be or who you were yesterday. Friday, February 24, 2023: Today I pulled the Hanged Man. For me this is a card of taking time and consideration of different perspectives. It’s between the powerful cards of Justice and Death in the Major Arcana. I’m invoking the Princess of Swords. I call this the mindfulness card. I read the Page/Princess cards as cards of having a beginner’s mind.
