Vision


Monday, May 8, 2023: Mary Oliver wrote, “Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Today I pulled the World. I thought of Oliver’s poem The Summer Day and then decided to invoke the oracle card, “Big Bold Vision.”

Sunday, April 20, 2025: Today I pulled the Hermit. For me this is a card of inward reflection. The important thing is look at yourself and reflect on who you are now. This is not who the world expects you to be or who you were yesterday. Friday, February 24, 2023: Today I pulled the Hanged Man. For me this is a card of taking time and consideration of different perspectives. It’s between the powerful cards of Justice and Death in the Major Arcana. I’m invoking the Princess of Swords. I call this the mindfulness card. I read the Page/Princess cards as cards of having a beginner’s mind.
