Purgatory


Today I am doing my Tarot from the hot tub. This morning I pulled the Two of Swords. I call this the shit or get off the pot card. It’s the purgatory of unchosen mediocrity. This resonates with me as I look at the things I would normally do and want to do and the struggle I am having with post Covid fatigue. I’m having to reevaluate things based on my reduced capacity. I’m invoking Temperance to help me not feel overwhelmed and to communicate to myself and others just what I’m able to do right now.

Sunday, April 20, 2025: Today I pulled the Hermit. For me this is a card of inward reflection. The important thing is look at yourself and reflect on who you are now. This is not who the world expects you to be or who you were yesterday. Friday, February 24, 2023: Today I pulled the Hanged Man. For me this is a card of taking time and consideration of different perspectives. It’s between the powerful cards of Justice and Death in the Major Arcana. I’m invoking the Princess of Swords. I call this the mindfulness card. I read the Page/Princess cards as cards of having a beginner’s mind.
